鹤顶红是中国金鱼头型变异类中最具代表性的品种之一。其身银白似雪，鱼鳍轻如蝉翼，唯有头顶嵌入一颗宝石般的红冠，游动时典雅高贵，如同仙鹤飞舞，故称之为鹤顶红。鹤顶红纯化度高，遗传稳定，其寓意吉祥，色彩搭配完美，因此广受欢迎。优质的鹤顶红要求通体洁白，应有银质光泽，全身无杂色。鱼鳍舒展通透，无血丝。红冠色泽鲜艳，殷红如血，以头茸紧实，出檐而不遮眼，两颊素净，前不过唇，后不及背为上品。

Red Cap Oranda is one of the most representatives of head variation in China. It’s silvery white like snow, with fins light as cicada’s wings, and gem like red crown at the top of the head. When swimming, it’s graceful, like flying crane, so it’s also called “He Ding Hong”. Red Cap Oranda is very pure and stable in heredity. As symbolizing good fortune, and perfect in color matching, it’s widely accepted. Outstanding Red Cap Oranda is completely white with silvery gloss, and no mixed color at anywhere. The fins are stretching and clear, and no blood streak shall be seen. The crown is bright and red like blood. The head pompon is intensive and tight, stretching but without eye, not reaching the lips in the front, and back in the rear. The cheeks shall be clean.
