年底各种聚会、饭局扎堆。吃完喝完，谁买单？请客还是AA？

今天，我们说说美国的买单文化！

Activities: 活动，不过更多用在：

• Kids activities: 小朋友的活动

• Outdoor activities: 户外活动

年底各种聚餐、社交活动，更贴切的表达：

There's a lot of things going on: 很多活动

• Parties: 派对聚会

• Galas/banquets: 宴会

• Wining and dining: 吃吃喝喝

和朋友聚：

• Going out with friends

• Getting together with friends

• Catching up with friends

• Entertaining (hosting parties/dinners): 招待朋友

Restaurants are very full this time of the year: 这段时间饭店特别满

So are our stomachs: 大家的肚子也是

Time to pay: “买单”各种英语说法

买单：

• Picking up the bill

• Getting the bill

• Paying for the bill

请客：

• Treating people

别抢，我来付！

怎么告诉朋友，今天我买单？

• It's on me.

• This one is on me.

• Let me get it.

• I'm buying lunch/dinner/drinks.

• I got this.

• I got it.

• I'll get dinner. You get drinks.

• Dinner is on me. You cover the drinks.

Bar-hopping: 泡吧

美国人聚会，特别喜欢去bar-hopping：

Bar-hopping: 一个晚上去几个不同的酒吧

Hop: 跳来跳去，不在一个固定地方

One person get drinks at one bar: 一个人请一个地方

Open a tab:开账单（通常几个人去酒吧会点好几轮酒，就开一个属于你们的账单，都结算在这个单子上）

Give your credit card to the bartender: 很多美国人会把信用卡直接先给酒吧侍应生

It sounds so dangerous: 听起来不太安全

If you get drunk and forget to pay, they have your card: 但是如果喝醉了，忘付钱，酒保有你的信用卡

Buyrounds: 买好几轮酒

I'm getting this round: 这轮我来买

请客还是AA?

＊最重要的是：不要说AA！＊

这不是一个标准的英语说法。

大多数native speakers都听不懂这个说法；懂的人也是从中国学来的。

那Go Dutch呢？

这个说法是标准的，但是比较过时。

“分摊”最常用、最自然的说法：

Split the bill：分摊

怎么用？

• Let's split the bill

• Let's split dinner/drinks.

除了分摊，还能分开结账：

Separate checks: 单独分开的账单

在美国，服务生看到一群人聚餐，会问你是否要"separate checks"; 但这也给饭店造成额外的工作，所以有些饭店会手续surcharge(额外费用）；

有些会直接写出"No separate checks"

Who picks up the bill?

美国买单：请客还是分摊？

如果你召集，你要买单吗？

If you invite people or initiate the gathering：如果你邀请、召集聚会

看你怎么说：

• "I'd like to invite you/take you out to dinner": 如果这样说，意思基本是你付钱

• "Let's get together": 如果你说“我们聚一聚”，基本大家会分摊

It also depends on how big the group is: 也看一共多少人

Big groups usually split the bill:：一般人多都是分摊的

男生要请女生吗？Do men always pay?

If it's romantic, maybe the first few dates: 如果是浪漫约会，前几次男生会付

If it's not romantic, people just split the bill: 如果不是浪漫关系，那就分摊

Overall, splitting the bill is much more common than one person paying: 总体来说，分摊比请客常见得多

Hospitable & reciprocity: 热情好客、礼尚往来

Chinese are very hospitable: 中国人很热情

Many like to treat foreign friends: 很多经常请外国朋友吃饭

＊其实也没必要一直很客气；外国人很习惯分摊。＊

Reciprocity: 礼尚往来

Goes back and forth: 你一次我一次

Return the favor：别人请你，要还

Generous and cheap: 大方、小气

“小气”的说法更多：

• Cheap

• Miserly

• Stingy

• Cheapskate：铁公鸡（名词）

大方：

• Generous

• Giving

• Always treating people
