成都市双流区棠湖小学向来重视对学生全球胜任力的培养,学校通过IUTC国际理解教育主题课程引领学生开展主题式研究型学习,包含以全球胜任力、世界文化、中华传统文化和社会热点为主题的课程,关注全球发展力求培养具有中国灵魂、大国情怀、国际视野、能够进行跨文化交流、能够参与国际竞争与合作的现代儿童。
In correlation with our studies of Chinese traditional stories. The year one students studied the Chinese idiom of the monkeys fishing for the moon.
为提升学生传承传播中华文化意识和能力,深化中华文化价值认同,增强文化自信,传播好中国声音,一年级IUTC国际理解教育主题课程学习了英文版的中国传统成语故事《猴子捞月》。
We started by watching a short video of the story, then we moved on to learning how to tell the story in English - using short, simple sentences and practising the important vocabulary words such as “moon”, “well”, “tree,” monkey,” and “chain”.
孩子们通过观看小视频,激发学习兴趣,同时借助肢体语言理解以下重点词汇:“moon”, “well”, “tree,” monkey,” and “chain”,并在教师的引导下利用简单易懂的句子绘声绘色地讲述故事。
To support the story and the theme , the students also learnt two songs; Five Little Monkeys and Monkey Banana. These songs helped to strengthen their language skills whilst also were a chance to have fun and work on coordination through the dances.
为让孩子们更加理解故事主题,教师还带领孩子们学习了两首与猴子有关的歌曲Five Little Monkeys 和 Monkey Banana.这些歌曲有助于加强孩子们的语言技能,同时也能通过舞蹈获得乐趣。
Through the traditional stories, the children are able to learn an important part of their Chinese culture and gain the ability to share it with others.
用英文讲好中国故事,融实践性、知识性、文化性、趣味性于一体,营造了浓郁的英语气氛,拓宽了学生英语学习渠道,弘扬了中华传统文化,有利于促进中外人文交流。
